Uber

PRJ.02 - UI & MOTION

For two summers, I worked at Uber HQ as a Product Design Intern with the uber.COM team. During my time at the company, I had really awesome opportunities to work on great projects that varied in scope and skills. From designing internal tools that affected the way CRM designers were on-boarded—to redesigning the look of some pages through the use, refresh, and creation of new components—to the creation of a redesigned news portal for the company's policy team.

This page showcases the design and results of some of the projects I worked on. However, due to the sensitive nature of some projects, I'm unable to fully showcase them publicly. If you're interested in learning more, I'm happy to talk more about the deliverables more concretely at hi@dariocamacho.com

Home Page

How do you help users navigate a site with thousands of pages in dozens of categories? Not to mention the huge amount of information found there. In the navigation I prioritized those most important to Uber’s mission, and kept the primary call to actions visible at all times. The new Uber Newsroom home page comes in a unique formal flavor, distinguished by language, hierarchy, colors and patterns.

About Page

With simple navigation, context-based messaging, and clear calls to action, the site's main purpose is to convert visitors to customers. But to achieve that it also has to tell the story and bring the brand to life through the design.
